D-backs and Geraldo Perdomo agree to a 4-Year contract extension

The Arizona Diamondbacks agreed with INF Geraldo Perdomo to a 4-year contract extension through 2029 (beginning in 2026) with a club option for 2030.

• 2023 NL All-Star selection.
• Got his start at the D-backs' academy in the Dominican Republic in 2017 after signing as a 16-year-old in July 2016.
• Among shortstops since 2023 [min. 1800.0 inn.], has the fewest total errors (9) and highest fielding pct. (.989), is tied for the fewest throwing errors (2; also: Carlos Correa/MIN) and is tied for the fourth fewest fielding errors (7; also: Dansby Swanson/CHC)…in 2023, led shortstops with a .991 fielding pct.
• Since 2022, leads the Majors with 33 sacrifice hits while ranking among NL shortstops in walk pct. (3rd, 10.8), strikeout-to-walk ratio (3rd, 1.65), OBP (6th, .326), walks (6th, 150), triples (T-6th, 8), games (7th, 390), hit-by-pitch (T-7th, 14), times on base (8th, 440), stolen bases (T-9th, 34) and RBI (10th, 124).
