Ryan Joseph Ward…born in Worcester, Mass., on Feb. 23, 1998…played three seasons of college ball at Bryant University…slashed .409/.449/.636 in his second season at Bryant, becoming the first player in D1 program history to bat over .400…drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the eighth round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft.

2023

Appeared in 139 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City. Notched a .234/.324/.424 slashline with a .748 OPS with 27 doubles, six triples, 21 home runs and 95 RBI. Spent most of the season at left field (52 G, 48 GS) for a .974 fielding percentage, committing two errors in 76 total chances over 434.1 innings…also played at first base (42 GS), right field (21 G, 20 GS), and 27 games as designated hitter (26 GS). In July, slashed .318/.392/.568 in 22 games with four doubles, six home runs and 17 RBI … hit .243 off of righties (95-for-391) compared to .211 (31-for-147) off of lefties…recorded a career-high 10 total bases on June 13 against Salt Lake after going 3-for-4 with three runs, a double, a walk, two home runs and four RBI.

2022

Spent the entirety of the season with Double-A Tulsa (116 G), slashing .255/.319/.486 with 48 extra-base hits and a career-high 28 home runs...Was even vs. righties and lefties, hitting .254 (91-for-359) with nine home runs and 18 RBI and .257 (26-for-101) with 19 home runs and 60 RBI respectively...Played 84 games in left field for a .968 fielding percentage...committed five errors in 157 total chances...Named Texas League Player of the Week on Aug. 7, hitting .357 (10-for-28) including three home runs, a double and 11 RBI...Collected three two-home run games (April 22, May 17, July 23), combining to go 8-for-15 with 10 RBI…had five RBI on April 22, a season-high.

2021

Played the entire season with Advanced-A Great Lakes, playing four different positions: left field (53 G), center field (1 G), right field (15 G, 14 GS), and first base (2 G, 1 G) over 109 games...Hit .278 (122-for-439), crushing 27 home runs, 21 doubles, and 84 RBI…struck out 118 times and walked 47 times...Had his best month in August, slashing .323/.409/.698 with 10 home runs and six doubles in 24 games which earned him Midwest League Player of the Month...Registered a .976 fielding percentage in left field, committing only two errors in 84 total chances...Named a MiLB.com Organization All-Star.

2020

Did not participate in the 2020 season after the minor league season was cancelled.

2019

Played 49 games for Rookie-level Ogden, totaling a .271 batting average (51-for-188) with 11 doubles, two triples, four homers, and 23 RBI...Slugged his first professional home run on July 5, 2019 with Rookie-level Ogden off of Carlos Luna...Garnered a .304/.370/.486 slash line versus right-handed pitchers and .150/.227/.150 versus lefties...Featured at every outfield position, spending the majority of the season in left field (25 G, 23 GS) with a 1.000 fielding percentage, committed no errors in 42 total chances.
