Cleveland Guardians announce launch of 2025 youth summer camps
Guardians Youth Summer Camps are expanding offerings in Northeast Ohio
Cleveland, OH ¨C The Cleveland Guardians today announced the return of Guardians Youth Summer Camps (GYSC) for the 2025 season, presented by Union Home Mortgage.
This year, GYSC makes its highly anticipated return after a successful 2024 camp season, expanding to more locations throughout Northeast Ohio. For $425 per camper, boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 14 can attend one of 15 camps focused on providing an incredible Cleveland Guardians baseball and softball experience guaranteed to improve each young athlete¡¯s ability to play the game.
¡°Every big-league dream, just like mine, started on a youth baseball diamond,¡± said Guardians Catcher Bo Naylor. ¡°I¡¯m so excited for this program to return to Northeast Ohio this year¡± ¡°Baseball and softball aren¡¯t just games, they are a chance to learn teamwork, grit, and confidence, all tools that I incorporate into my life today¡±.
GYSC¡¯s variety of offerings such as week-long camps, two-day camps, and softball-only camps will continue in 2025. Guardians¡¯ softball-only camps provide an opportunity for young athletes to get softball-specific instruction needed to perform at an advanced level. All Guardians camps apart from the softball-only camps maintain the format of both baseball and softball instruction.
¡°At Union Home Mortgage, we believe in building communities, and there¡¯s nothing more timeless than kids playing baseball and softball in the summer,¡± said Bill Cosgrove, CEO, Union Home Mortgage. ¡°Time changes a lot of things, but it doesn¡¯t change the joy of summer baseball, and being part of a team. Especially here in Northeast Ohio and particularly in Bedford, my hometown. The Guardians camps are the highlight of summer for these kids and help them build their self-confidence. We at Union Home Mortgage are proud to be part of this amazing program, as we continue our mission of helping families find stability and build strong communities through homeownership.¡±
Camps run from 9 AM to 3 PM each day. All coaches are certified by USA Baseball, as required by MLB. Campers will also receive the chance to meet a current, former, or future (MiLB) Guardians player. This year¡¯s camp will also feature pop up appearances from Sugardale and the Guardians Hot Dog mascots.
Cost for camps includes a full Guardians uniform and two (2) tickets to a select 2025 Guardians regular season home game. Multi-camper discounts are available for those who register two or more campers at the same time (code: FF25). This fee must be paid on or before May 1, 2025.
