Cap logos set for Hall of Fame's Class of 2025

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum has announced the images that will appear on the caps of the members of the Class of 2025.

In conjunction with the Hall of Fame, the five members of the Class of 2025 and/or their families have made their selections for the logo inclusion on their Hall of Fame plaque: Dick Allen ¨C Phillies; Dave Parker ¨C Pirates; CC Sabathia ¨C Yankees; Ichiro Suzuki ¨C Mariners; Billy Wagner ¨C Astros.

Allen, who was elected to the Hall of Fame on Dec. 8 by the Classic Baseball Era Committee, played for five teams during his 15-year big league career, and nine of those seasons came with the Phillies, with whom he started his career and won the 1964 National League Rookie of the Year Award. Allen hit 204 of his 351 career home runs with Philadelphia.

Parker played in 19 MLB seasons, the first 11 of which were with the Pirates. Parker won his two National League batting titles and the 1978 NL Most Valuable Player Award in Pittsburgh, where he also captured three Gold Glove Awards while helping the Pirates win the 1979 World Series.

Sabathia pitched for three teams over 19 seasons, the last 11 of which with the Yankees. Sabathia led MLB in wins in both 2009 and 2010 with New York, serving as the ace of the staff in the former year when the Yankees won the World Series. Sabathia joined the exclusive Black Aces club of 20-game winners in 2010.

Ichiro played 14 of his 19 seasons with the Mariners, earning 10 All-Star Game selections while winning the AL Rookie of the Year Award and Most Valuable Player Award in 2001. Ichiro also earned each of his 10 Gold Glove Awards in Seattle while winning two batting titles and setting the MLB single-season hits record in 2004.

Wagner spent the first nine seasons of his 16-year career with the Astros, earning three All-Star Game selections and saving 30-or-more games five times. He was Houston¡¯s first-round draft pick in 1993 before debuting in the majors just two years later.

The Hall of Fame Class of 2025 will be formally inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday, July 27, in Cooperstown, N.Y., as the centerpiece of a four-day celebration of baseball and their careers as part of Hall of Fame Weekend 2025, July 25-28. The Induction Ceremony is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. ET and will be televised live on MLB Network.

Each Hall of Fame plaque will be revealed immediately prior to each electee¡¯s induction speech on July 27. The Hall of Fame plaque, which serves to reflect the totality of a career, details an individual¡¯s accomplishments in the game in approximately 90 words, while listing each team on which an individual played or managed. An artist rendering of the individual being honored tops the Hall of Fame plaque, and in many instances, a cap, where a logo may or may not be featured, is included. The Hall of Fame works with the Hall of Famers and their families to determine which logo may appear on the plaque cap, with the Hall of Fame holding the final decision.

Hall of Fame Weekend 2025 will also feature the Saturday, July 26 Awards Presentation, when BBWAA Career Excellence Award winner Thomas Boswell and Ford C. Frick Award winner Tom Hamilton will each be honored. The Weekend will include family programming for baseball fans of all ages, including the July 26 Parade of Legends and a July 28 episode of The Road to Cooperstown podcast live at Doubleday Field with the four living inductees.

More than 50 Hall of Famers are expected to return for Hall of Fame Weekend, with the full list of returnees to be announced in early July, to honor the Class of 2025 at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
