Astros sign Luis Guillorme to Minor League deal
Veteran infielder receives Major League camp invite
HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Astros have signed veteran infielder Luis Guillorme to a minor league contract with an invite to Major League Spring Training. The announcement was made by Astros General Manager Dana Brown.
Guillorme, 30, split his 2024 season between the Braves, Angels and Diamondbacks organizations, combining to appear in 79 games, while hitting .205 (33x161) with nine doubles and 10 RBI. The versatile infielder played games at second base (55g), third base (15g) and shortstop (5g) in 2024, marking his sixth consecutive Major League season to appear in games at all three of those positions. A veteran of seven Major League seasons, Guillorme has appeared in 414 career Major League games, mostly coming with the Mets over his first six seasons.
Guillorme, who¡¯ll wear No. 0, is the 65th player at Major League camp, including the 14th infielder.
