Blue Jays sign Yarbrough
The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to terms with LHP Ryan Yarbrough on a Minor League contract with an invite to 2025 Major League Spring Training.
Yarbrough, 33, made 44 appearances between the Dodgers and Blue Jays last season, recording a 3.19 ERA in 98.2 innings with a 1.03 WHIP. After being dealt to the Blue Jays at the trade deadline, he appeared in 12 contests with the team, posting a 2.01 ERA with a 0.80 WHIP, and a .173 opponent AVG. The left-hander from Austin, TX, was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 4th round of the 2014 First-Year Player Draft, making his MLB debut with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2018. The 6-5, 215 lb. reliever has made a total of 196 MLB appearances (68 starts) across seven seasons with the Rays, Royals, Dodgers, and Blue Jays, going 53-40 while posting a 4.21 ERA in 768.0 innings with a 1.18 WHIP.
