2023

Attended his fourth Major League Spring Training camp...Made four Grapefruit League appearances and did not allow a run in 7.0 innings (4 H, 3 BB, 6 SO)...Began the season with Triple-A Worcester and made seven starts before being placed on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation on 5/10. Reinstated from the IL on 9/17 and made two appearances with Worcester, both in relief.

2022

Made his first appearances since 2019 after missing the entire 2020 and 2021 seasons. Went 7-3 with a 2.49 ERA (28 ER/83.0 IP) and 105 SO in 19 outings (18 starts) for Single-A Salem (1 GS), High-A Greenville (3 GS), Double-A Portland (10 G/1 GS), and Triple-A Worcester (5 GS)...Marked his Triple-A debut. Averaged 11.39 SO/9.0 IP. Went 5-2 with a 1.85 ERA (10 ER/48.2 IP) for Portland. Threw 5.0+ innings in nine of his 15 starts between Worcester and Portland, including 6.0+ innings in five of them. Made his season debut on 6/4 for Salem on rehab assignment...Allowed one unearned run over 2.0 IP in his first outing since 2019. Made three rehab starts for Greenville from 6/10-22... Gave up four ER in 9.0 IP with 15 SO and 6 BB. RHP...Signed through 2023 Reinstated from the IL on 6/28 and assigned to Portland. Did not allow an ER in three straight starts from 7/3-15 (13.0 IP, 8 H, 2 R, HBP, 7 BB, 19 SO). Tossed a season-high 6.0 innings in four of his final five starts for the Sea Dogs, spanning 7/31-8/24...Earned the win in each of his final four starts with Portland and allowed 0 ER in his final three (18.0 IP, 14 H, 1 R, 5 BB, 22 SO). Recognized by the Red Sox as the organization’s Minor League Starting Pitcher of the Month for August. Assigned to Worcester on 8/30 and made his Triple-A debut that day vs. Buffalo (3.0 IP, 2 H, R, 4 BB, SO). Allowed 2 runs or fewer in each of his first four Triple-A starts (3.00 ERA, 6 ER/18.0 IP). Struck out 24 batters over 14.1 innings in his final three starts of the season (15.07 SO/9.0 IP). Recorded a season-high 10 SO in his final start of the season, 9/24 vs. Syracuse (5.1 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 BB)...Was his first career 10-strikeout game.

2021

Missed the entire 2021 season due to injury requiring Tommy John surgery on his right elbow...The procedure was performed on 4/14/21 by Dr. Neal ElAttrache at the Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles, Calif.

2020

Added to the Red Sox’ 40-man roster on 11/20/20...Spent the 2020 season at the Red Sox’ Alternate Training Site...At 21 years old, was the youngest pitcher in the Club Player Pool.

2019

Opened the season with Salem and allowed 1 ER in his first 3 starts (16.2 IP, 0.54 ERA)...Allowed 0 HR in April (25.2 IP)...Placed on the injured list on 5/5 with a right shoulder strain...Reinstated from the IL on 6/7 and allowed 0 runs in his next 2 starts: 6/7 at Carolina (5.0 IP, 2 H) and 6/14 vs. Frederick (6.0 IP, 3 H)...Transferred to Portland on 6/30 and spent the rest of the season with the Sea Dogs...Allowed 1 run over 6.0 IP in his Double-A debut on 7/2 vs. Trenton...In his final 2 starts of the season, allowed 2 runs in 6.0 IP on 8/26 at Binghamton, then gave up 1 hit in 7.0 scoreless innings on 8/31 vs. New Hampshire (9 SO).
