Graduated from Mount Saint Michael Academy in the Bronx, NY...had his senior season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but did have a celebrated junior year as he was named a 2019 Perfect Game All-Star and was listed as the top pitching prospect from the Northeast region by Perfect Game...played on the International circuit that year, earning a spot on the 2019 USA Baseball 40-man 18U National Team Trials Roster...also took part in the Prospect Development Pipeline in Florida and the High School All-Star Game at Progressive Field during MLB’s 2019 All-Star Week...Entered the 2020 draft ranked by Baseball America as the No. 15 overall high school prospect in his draft class...also tabbed by MLB.com as the No. 56 overall player in the 2020 draft class...Selected by Houston with the final pick in the second round of the June 2020 draft (72nd overall)…did have a commitment to play at Maryland, but opted to sign with the Astros...signed by Astros scout Bobby St. Pierre...The 72nd overall selection was a compensation pick awarded to Houston after Gerrit Cole's free agent signing with the Yankees...it was also the Astros top selection in the 2020 draft, as their first and second round picks were forfeited by MLB...At the age of 19, was the youngest player invited to Astros Major League Spring Training...was one of three players born in the 2000's at camp, also IF Freudis Nova (born 1/12/00) and OF Colin Barber (born 12/4/00).

Drafted in June of 2020 and signed with Houston on June 19...did not appear in a minor league game due to the COVID-19 minor league shutdown...was one of 52 minor leaguers to participate at the club's Instructional Camp in October.
