Freddie Mercury outran Winston Churchill, Henry VIII and Nessie in the London Series mascot race
Four historic figures entered the first-ever London Series mascot race during Saturday's Red Sox-Yankees game at London Stadium, but only one could win.
Prior to their showdown on the warning track behind home plate, Freddie Mercury, the Loch Ness Monster, Winston Churchill and Henry VIII received a high-energy pep talk from none other than A-Rod:
After that group huddle, it was time for battle. And, probably to the surprise of few, it was the late Queen front man Mercury -- no stranger to feats of performance excellence at packed stadiums in England -- who came away with the big win:
