Jackie Bradley Jr. was at Anfield on Sunday for the Liverpool-Manchester United game
Jackie Bradley Jr. was in England this week to help promote this summer's Yankees-Red Sox matchup that will take place in London from June 29-30. While some of his trip involved learning about cricket or hanging out with the Great Britain baseball team, he got quite the treat on Sunday: He was at Anfield for the giant Liverpool-Manchester United game, which is the English Premier League's version of a Boston-New York matchup.
Bradley was given his Red Sox uniform number -- No. 19 -- which was fortunately open for him to use after Liverpool attacker Sadio Mané switched to No. 10 before the season began. Honestly, it wouldn't be shocking if some rumors started that Liverpool had signed Bradley to be a midfielder ahead of the January transfer window.
There was a good reason for Bradley to support the Reds beyond wearing the same colors as the Red Sox: Boston owner John Henry also owns Liverpool. That means he must have been pretty excited when Xherdan Shaqiri scored to give Liverpool a 2-1 lead en route to their 3-1 victory.
