I'm turning this into the new line dance craze at the next wedding I go to
There comes a time at every wedding when the dance floor transforms into a giant line dance. It may be when "Cotton Eye Joe" drops, or it could just be when an enterprising group of friends decides it's that time of the festivities. As people start to realize what's going on, there's a lot of shoving of strangers as each and every attendee tries to get into the line near their friends or loved ones. Eventually, it all comes together, but that's usually around the time the next song starts to fade in.
It doesn't have to be this way. The chaos of the wedding reception line dance can be better executed -- we just need a true visionary to show us the way. Those visionaries, it turns out, are all catchers for the Tokyo Yakult Swallows of the Nippon Professional Baseball league.
This offseason, they debuted a new workout that needs to find its way to dance floors everywhere.
Now, it's going to take a little coordination and will probably end in some debilitating quad soreness the next morning, but can you imagine an entire dance floor of giddy wedding-goers pulling this off? It would be a glorious sight and would virtually guarantee a long and happy marriage for the couple of honor.
So, call up your friends right this moment. Tell them to start working on their squats and get ready for the best night of dancing of all your young lives.
