Jorge Soler now leads the Cactus League with 6 HRs and has been absolutely raking this spring

What seems like centuries ago (but was actually only back in 2014), the Cubs brought up one of their most prized prospects: Jorge Soler. Hailing from Cuba, the 22-year-old man-child had expectations as high as his home runs. And in his first few games, he showed off that enormous potential. He homered in his big league debut and then hit two more dingers in his third game -- one nearly reaching the heights of Big Mac Land in St. Louis.

Although he's showed flashes of brilliance, his Major League career thus far hasn't panned out as he may have thought -- he's played in just 246 games over four seasons. But this winter, with the loss of Lorenzo Cain, the Royals were counting on him to fill a big gap in the lineup.
Well, if this spring is any indication, Kauffman Stadium may not even need to turn on its lights this year because the field will be completely lit up by, and hold on because this is a really good one ... #SolerPower.

Soler has been crushing the ball this spring. He went 3-for-3 in Sunday's game against his former team, hitting a single, double and home run. He's now tied with Jason Kipnis for the Spring Training lead with six big flys. The ball sounds like a crack of thunder off his bat:

We're not even sure where this one landed off 105-mph-throwing Michael Kopech.

He has 11 RBIs, a .364 OBP and a 1.072 OPS. Yes, we know it's just Spring Training, but still -- it's OK to feel excited, Royals fans.
