Kevin Kiermaier made the second-fastest Statcast throw of 2016 look deceptively easy

Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier is known for his glovework in center field. After all, he's a reigning Gold Glove winner for his exploits on defense -- which are so good they sometimes become literal art.
In Friday night's 7-5 loss to the Yankees at Yankee Stadium, Kiermaier showed another facet of his game with an absolute laser throw to nail Rob Refsnyder at the plate.
The throw was so good, in fact, that it was the second-fastest outfield assist recorded so far this season by Statcast™:
By the way, the fact that there are roughly six miles-per-hour between Kiermaier's throw Friday and Aaron Hicks' absurd 105.5-mph throw back in April really shows just how impressive Hicks' was.
In fact, it's also doubly meaningful (to us, at least) that the top two throws AND Aroldis Chapman's high-velocity fireworks display have all taken place at the Stadium this season. Seems Yankees fans have gotten quite a show over the past few months, and we're not just talking aboutGary Sánchez.
