Carlos Martinez hit his first career home run and his teammates loved it

It has already been quite a start to the 2018 season for Cardinals ace Carlos Martinez. He entered Wednesday afternoon's start against the White Sox with a 1.43 ERA. He left that start with an even lower ERA and -- perhaps more impressively -- the first home run of his Major League career.
After throwing six shutout innings, Martinez came to the plate with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning and put an end to Lucas Giolito's shutout:

His teammates were understandably giddy about his dinger. Luke Weaver, who -- unlike Martinez -- has never hit a home run, jumped up and down in a state of pure euphoria for his fellow pitcher:

Just because he's a pitcher doesn't mean Martinez doesn't get the same conga line treatment as his position-player colleagues:
