Notable early series: Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani are set to lead the Angels into a divisional clash against the powerhouse Astros from July 31 to Aug. 2 at Angel Stadium.

Highlights: The Freeway Series should be a thriller this year with Trout and Anthony Rendon on one side and Cody Bellinger and Mookie Betts on the other. The first three games are in Anaheim from Aug. 14-16; the last three close out the season in L.A. from Sept. 25-27. More >

MARINERS

Opening Day: at Astros -- Friday, July 24 (9:10 p.m. ET)

Home opener: vs. A¡¯s -- Friday, July 31 (9:40 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: Seattle will get thrown right into the fire with a season-opening four-game set at Houston, where they went 0-10 last season.

Highlights: Ten games against the Angels means plenty of opportunities for a pitching matchup between Seattle¡¯s Yusei Kikuchi and Los Angeles¡¯ Shohei Ohtani, now that the latter is back on the mound. The Dodgers also will bring a lot of star power to Seattle from Aug. 19-20. More >

RANGERS

Opening Day: vs. Rockies -- Friday, July 24 (8:05 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: In addition to opening brand-new Globe Life Field against Colorado, Texas will have its first AL West test when it plays at Oakland from Aug. 4-6. The Rangers lost 13 of 19 to the A¡¯s in 2019.

Highlights: Joey Gallo could get his first shot at Coors Field from Aug. 14-16, and that¡¯s a scary thought. The Rangers will try to clinch a playoff berth while playing seven of their final 13 games against the Astros, including a season-ending four-game set at home. More >

BRAVES

Opening Day: at Mets -- Friday, July 24 (4:10 p.m. ET)

Home opener: vs. Rays -- Wednesday, July 29 (7:10 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: The Braves are scheduled to play a four-game road series against the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park from Aug. 7-10. Philadelphia was the only NL East club against which Atlanta had a losing record last season (9-10).

Highlights: The Braves host the Nationals from Aug. 17-19. Atlanta claimed the NL East crown in 2019, but the Nats one-upped them by winning the World Series. Atlanta also visits Fenway Park from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2 during a 17-game stretch against the Nationals, Phillies, Yankees and Red Sox. More >

MARLINS

Opening Day: at Phillies -- Friday, July 24 (7:05 p.m. ET)

Home opener: vs. Orioles -- Monday, July 27 (7:10 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: After opening the season at Philadelphia, the Marlins are scheduled to play the Phillies again at home from Aug. 4-6. Miami went 10-9 against Philadelphia last season and 14-43 against the rest of the NL East.

Highlights: Miami will have a chance to make its presence felt in the NL East race heading into the stretch run, with 14 straight games against only the Braves, Nationals or Mets scheduled for Aug. 14-27. More >

METS

Opening Day: vs. Braves -- Friday, July 24 (4:10 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: The Mets play a four-game series at Truist Park against the two-time defending NL East-champion Braves from July 31-Aug. 3, part of a difficult 14-game stretch -- all against the Braves, Red Sox or Nationals -- to open the season.

Highlights: The Mets renew their rivalry with the Yankees at Citi Field from Aug. 21-23, perhaps providing the Subway Series with its first matchup between Jacob deGrom and Gerrit Cole. The Mets also close the regular season with 13 games in 13 days (Sept. 15-27) against the Phillies, Braves, Rays and Nationals. More >

NATIONALS

Opening Day: vs. Yankees -- Thursday, July 23 (7:08 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: The defending World Series champion's season-opening series against the Yankees is a big one. But Washington plays 19 of its first 22 games against the Blue Jays, Orioles, Marlins and Mets, each of whom missed the postseason in 2019.

Highlights: The Nats¡¯ first series against Atlanta is scheduled for Aug. 17-19 at Truist Park, and they have 21 straight games against either the Braves, Red Sox, Rays or Phillies from Aug. 25-Sept. 16. More >

PHILLIES

Opening Day: vs. Marlins -- Friday, July 24 (7:05 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: Philadelphia gets an early test against one of the top teams in the AL when it takes on the Yankees for four games -- two at Citizens Bank Park, two at Yankee Stadium -- from July 27-30, giving new manager Joe Girardi a chance to face the club he led for 10 years.

Highlights: The Phillies have to wait to see how they match up with the Braves and Nationals, who placed first and second in the NL East last season. The Phils host the Braves for four games from Aug. 7-10, then take on the Nats in Washington -- Bryce Harper¡¯s old stomping grounds -- from Aug. 25-27. More >

BREWERS

Opening Day: at Cubs -- Friday, July 24 (7:10 p.m. ET)

Home opener: vs. Cardinals -- Friday, July 31 (2:10 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: After opening the season with nine straight games against divisional opponents, the Brewers have four games (Aug. 3-6) against the White Sox, who signed catcher Yasmani Grandal and left-hander Gio Gonz¨¢lez away from Milwaukee as part of their busy offseason.

Highlights: The Crew¡¯s toughest stretch of the season could be July 31 to Aug. 20, with 20 games in 21 days against the Cardinals, White Sox, Twins, Cubs and Reds. Milwaukee also has four straight games at St. Louis to end the regular season -- a series that could have major postseason implications. More >

CARDINALS

Opening Day: vs. Pirates -- Friday, July 24 (8:15 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: After edging the Brewers by two games to win the NL Central in 2019, the Cardinals will be put to the test against Milwaukee at Miller Park from July 31 to Aug. 2 -- part of a seven-game road trip that will also take them to Minnesota and Detroit.

Highlights: St. Louis¡¯ age-old rivalry with the Cubs resumes Aug. 7-9 at Busch Stadium, and the Cards will play the White Sox in MLB¡¯s Field of Dreams game in Dyersville, Iowa, on Aug. 13. From Aug. 28 to Sept. 16, St. Louis will be put through the gauntlet with 18 straight games against the Indians, Reds, Cubs, Twins and Brewers. More >

CUBS

Opening Day: vs. Brewers -- Friday, July 24 (7:10 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: In their first season under new manager David Ross, the Cubs will look to set the tone with a four-game series at Great American Ball Park against the Reds from July 27-30.

Highlights: The Cubs¡¯ road matchup against the rival Cardinals from Aug. 7-9 kicks off a 15-game stretch during which they¡¯ll play only the Cards, Indians, Brewers and White Sox. Chicago¡¯s four-game series against the Cardinals at Wrigley Field from Sept. 4-7 could prove to be pivotal in the Central race. More >

PIRATES

Opening Day: at Cardinals -- Friday, July 24 (8:15 p.m. ET)

Home opener: vs. Brewers -- Monday, July 27 (7:05 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: As the Pirates usher in a new era under manager Derek Shelton and GM Ben Cherington, they have a tough slate in the early going, with nine straight games against the Cardinals, Brewers and Cubs, followed by a home-and-home series against the Twins from Aug. 3-6.

Highlights: The Bucs have a seven-game road trip to St. Louis and Cincinnati from Aug. 10-16, and they¡¯ll open September with eight home games vs. the Cubs, Reds and White Sox. More >

REDS

Opening Day: vs. Tigers -- Friday, July 24 (7:10 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: New Reds slugger Nick Castellanos has a chance to do some damage against his former teams right off the bat, as Cincinnati¡¯s first 10 games are against either the Tigers or the Cubs, including a four-game series vs. Chicago at Great American Ball Park from July 27-30.

Highlights: The 2020 chapter in the Ohio Cup will be Reds right-hander Trevor Bauer¡¯s first opportunity to face the Indians since they traded the pitcher to Cincinnati last July. The Reds have four games against Cleveland from Aug. 3-6, followed by an important three-game road series against Yelich and the Brewers. More >

D-BACKS

Opening Day: at Padres -- Friday, July 24 (9:10 p.m. ET)

Home opener: vs. Dodgers -- Thursday, July 30 (9:40 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: The four-game home set against those Dodgers beginning July 30 will give Arizona a chance to test itself against the winners of the past seven NL West titles.

Highlights: The D-backs don¡¯t face the Giants until Aug. 21, when they go to San Francisco for three games. They also host them in Arizona (Aug. 28-30), then make another trip to Oracle Park (Sept. 4-7), giving Madison Bumgarner no shortage of opportunities to face his old team. More >

DODGERS

Opening Day: vs. Giants -- Thursday, July 23 (10:08 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: The first half of a four-game rematch of the 2017 World Series will take place July 28-29, when the Dodgers take on the Astros at Minute Maid Park.

Highlights: L.A. also hosts Houston from Sept. 12-13. And the club won¡¯t close the season against its NL West foes, instead finishing up with three against the A¡¯s and three against the Angels at Dodger Stadium from Sept. 22-27. More >

GIANTS

Opening Day: at Dodgers -- Thursday, July 23 (10:08 p.m. ET)

Home opener: vs. Padres -- Tuesday, July 28 (9:45 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: Besides starting with four games against the rival Dodgers, the Giants will face a stiff test with a 10-game road trip to Colorado, Los Angeles, and Houston from Aug. 3-12.

Highlights: It should be fun when Madison Bumgarner comes to San Francisco in a D-backs uniform from Aug. 21-23 and Sept. 4-7. Just imagine the possibility of Buster Posey digging in against Bumgarner at Oracle Park. More >

PADRES

Opening Day: vs. D-backs -- Friday, July 24 (9:10 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: San Diego could assert itself as a force in the NL West early on, as it won¡¯t play a non-division opponent until the 24th game of the year. Manny Machado, Fernando Tatis Jr. and Co. have seven games in 11 days vs. the powerhouse Dodgers from Aug. 3-13.

Highlights: There¡¯s a chance Justin Verlander and Chris Paddack will go head to head when San Diego hosts the Astros from Aug. 21-23, and the Friars could see Mike Trout for the first time since 2015 when they play the Angels on Sept. 2-3. More >

ROCKIES

Opening Day: at Rangers -- Friday, July 24 (8:05 p.m. ET)

Home opener: vs. Padres -- Friday, July 31 (8:10 p.m. ET)

Notable early series: Of Colorado¡¯s first 21 games, only two -- July 28-29 at Oakland -- are against a team that made the postseason in 2019.

Highlights: After going 4-15 against the Dodgers last season, the Rockies don't see them until Aug. 21-23 at Dodger Stadium. The Rox will try to contain Mike Trout at Coors Field when they take on the Angels from Sept. 11-13 during a nine-game homestand in which they also play the A¡¯s and Dodgers. More >
