Here's your guide to baseball's awards season

The Major League Baseball calendar certainly doesn't end once a World Series champion is crowned.
Sure, that's the most coveted trophy across the game, but there is plenty of other hardware left to hand out as well. Here's a look at all of the important dates when it comes to the 2024 awards season.
Upcoming awards are listed first, followed by those that already have been announced.

Nov. 21: BBWAA MVP Awards
6 p.m. ET on MLB Network
Shohei Ohtani is considered the frontrunner to win his third MVP Award in four seasons -- albeit his first in the NL. On the AL side, Aaron Judge likely separated himself from the rest of the pack down the stretch, though it remains to be seen how the voters will evaluate the field in each league.
Nov. 22: Heart & Hustle Awards
10 a.m. ET on MLB Network
This award is presented by the MLB Players Alumni Association and is voted on by alumni as well as active players. It goes to the active player "who demonstrates a passion for the game of baseball and best embodies the values, spirit and traditions of the game." Each of the 30 teams has one nominee, and a winner will be selected from that group.

Nov. 20: BBWAA Cy Young Awards
The Cy Young Award has been given out since 1956. It was awarded to the top overall pitcher in the Majors from 1956-66, but it has been presented to one pitcher in each league since 1967. Last year, the honors went to Gerrit Cole (AL) and Blake Snell (NL).
Result: For the first time since 2002, a pair of left-handers were named the Cy Young Award winners, with the Braves' Chris Sale winning in the NL and the Tigers' Tarik Skubal winning in the AL.
Nov. 19: BBWAA Manager of the Year Awards
The top manager in each league are recognized with this annual honor, which is based only on the regular season. Last year, the winners were Brandon Hyde (Orioles) in the AL and Skip Schumaker (Marlins) in the NL.
Result: The Guardians' Stephen Vogt and Brewers' Pat Murphy won the awards in their first seasons as full-time MLB managers, just the second time that's happened since the award was created in 1983.
Nov. 18: BBWAA Rookie of the Year Awards
The BBWAA opened its major awards week by honoring the top rookies from the 2024 season. It¡¯s an honor with a strong legacy, bearing the name of Jackie Robinson, the first winner back in 1947.
Last year, Baltimore's Gunnar Henderson (AL) and Arizona's Corbin Carroll (NL) claimed the hardware
Result: Pirates right-hander Paul Skenes and Yankees right-hander Luis Gil won the awards, marking the first time since 1981 that both winners were starting pitchers.
Nov. 14: All-MLB Teams
The All-MLB Team was introduced in 2019 to honor players¡¯ full-season contributions, given that All-Star selections are based on first-half performance. Fans were asked to vote at MLB.com to help choose first- and second-team selections at each position (including three outfielders, a DH, five starting pitchers and two relievers).
Result: The Padres led all teams with four All-MLB selections, and the Astros, Dodgers and Royals each had three among this year's winners.
Nov. 14: Hank Aaron Awards
Given annually to the best overall offensive performer in each league, the Hank Aaron Award winners were announced as part of All-MLB Weekend in Las Vegas. Winners are determined by a combination of a fan vote and a panel of Hall of Famers.
Result: Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers and Aaron Judge of the Yankees won this year's Hank Aaron Awards.
Nov. 14: Rivera/Hoffman Reliever of the Year Awards
Named for Hall of Fame closers Mariano Rivera and Trevor Hoffman when the awards were established in 2014, these honors go to the best reliever in each league.
Result: The Cardinals' Ryan Helsley and the Guardians' Emmanuel Clase were named Relievers of the Year.
Nov. 14: Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter
The Outstanding DH Award has been handed out since the designated hitter was first adopted by the AL in 1973, and it was renamed in honor of five-time winner and Hall of Famer Edgar Martinez in 2004. Shohei Ohtani has won the award in each of the past four seasons.
Result: Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers was named this year's Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter.

Nov. 14: Comeback Player of the Year Awards
The Comeback Player of the Year Awards honor one player from each league who has overcome adversity to return to a high level of performance in the Major Leagues.
Result: Braves left-hander Chris Sale and White Sox southpaw Garrett Crochet were named the MLB Comeback Players of the Year.
Nov. 12: Silver Slugger Awards
Each year since 1980, the best offensive player at each position in each league has been honored with a Silver Slugger Award based on voting from MLB managers and coaches. This was the third year that there was an award category for utility players, given the increasing prevalence of players who are defensively versatile.
Result: Seven first-timers were among this year's 20 Silver Slugger winners.

Nov. 8: Platinum Gloves
The Platinum Glove Awards, one presented in each league to the best overall defensive player, were announced at the Rawlings Gold Glove Dinner in New York City, where the Gold Glove Award winners received their trophies.
Result: Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh and Brewers second baseman Bryce Turang were the AL and NL recipients, respectively.
Nov. 5: Executive of the Year Award
This honor was announced during this year's GM Meetings, which took place in San Antonio. As with other awards, voting was completed prior to the start of the postseason, which means results from the playoffs weren¡¯t taken into account. Last year's winner was Orioles general manager Mike Elias.
Result: Matt Arnold became the first Brewers executive to win the award.
Nov. 3: Rawlings Gold Glove Awards
Rawlings announced the winners of the annual awards given to the best defensive player at each position in each league live on ESPN. Voting for the Platinum Glove Awards, given to the best overall defensive player in each league, began immediately after.
Result: There were a record-tying 14 first-timers among the 2024 Gold Glove winners.
Oct. 28: Roberto Clemente Award presented by Capital One
Widely considered one of the game's most prestigious honors, the Roberto Clemente Award is given annually to the player who best represents the game of baseball through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy and positive contributions, both on and off the field.
Result: Salvador Perez of the Royals was honored with the 2024 Clemente Award.
