Wainwright joins FOX broadcast crew as full-time analyst
If, after 19 years, you¡¯ve been struggling to imagine baseball without Adam Wainwright, we have some good news for you.
The recently retired Cardinals legend -- also a three-time All-Star and World Series champion -- has joined the broadcast team at FOX Sports as a full-time analyst, it was announced Thursday.
Wainwright has reportedly signed a multi-year contract beginning in 2024 that will cover a full slate of regular and postseason games, including, notably, FOX¡¯s coverage of the first game of the 2024 London Series between the Mets and Phillies on June 8.

¡°I love the game of baseball, and I really enjoy talking about the chess match that goes on between the pitcher and the hitter,¡± said Wainwright of his new career direction. ¡°Hopefully, my experience on the field will allow me the opportunity to share the game I love in a unique and deep way, bringing viewers closer to the game.¡±
It won¡¯t be totally uncharted territory for Wainwright, who has dipped his toe in this pool before, previously serving as a color commentator during FOX Sports¡¯ coverage of the 2020 NLDS, 2021 ALDS and 2023 ALDS.
