How each player fared in the Fall Stars Game

The 17th iteration of the Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game was held at Sloan Park on Sunday night. A number of baseball's top prospects showcased their talents, including top White Sox prospect Colson Montgomery -- No. 17 on MLB Pipeline's Top 100 rankings -- who was named the game's Most Valuable Player as the AL beat the NL, 6-3.

Here's what each player did:

AMERICAN LEAGUE EAST

Blue Jays
Will Robertson flexed his muscles with a two-run home run, which knocked in the game's decisive run. The dinger went a projected 400 feet at 100 mph exit velocity. CJ Van Eyk started the game for the American League. After giving up a leadoff single, the righty struck out Gabriel Rincones Jr., Wes Clarke and Oliver Dunn, all swinging. Dasan Brown (TOR No. 29) grounded out in his lone at-bat and Damiano Palmegiani (TOR No. 18). Lefty Ricky Tiedemann (TOR No. 1) was selected to the Fall Stars Game but did not pitch.

Rays
Dominic Keegan
(TB No. 9) caught three innings behind the plate and struck out in his only at-bat. Logan Workman pitched one inning, striking out two and allowing one run. Carson Williams (TB No. 2) struck out in both of his at-bats.

Red Sox
Zack Penrod
tossed the second inning where he recorded one strikeout. The only hit he gave up was a double to Jakob Marsee, but he was called out as he tried to stretch into a triple. Corey Rosier singled in the third inning and used his speed to go from first to third base on a Ryan Bliss single.

Orioles
Trey McGough
entered the seventh inning and allowed a single before working a quick inning with two K's. Carter Baumler (BAL No. 22) was selected to the Fall Stars Game but did not play.

Yankees
Caleb Durbin
entered the fourth inning as a pinch-hitter and played second base. He was hitless in three at-bats.

AMERICAN LEAGUE CENTRAL

Guardians
A day after hitting 15 dingers in the AFL Home Run Derby, Kyle Manzardo (CLE No. 2) flexed his muscles with a 433-foot homer. The first baseman finished 1-for-3 and added another RBI on a sacrifice fly. Chase DeLauter (CLE No. 4) reached on a walk and went 0-for-2 with a strikeout.

Royals
Peyton Wilson
(KC No. 26) came in as a defensive replacement in the sixth inning and did not reach base in his two at-bats.

Tigers
Jace Jung
(DET No. 4) entered as a defensive replacement at third base and struck out swinging in his lone at-bat. Jung has walked 14 times and is slashing .244/.446/.366 this fall. Pitchers Jackson Jobe (DET No. 3) and Wilmer Flores (DET No. 7) were selected to the Fall Stars Game but did not play.

Twins
Kala'i Rosario
, (MIN No. 19) the 2023 AFL Home Run Derby champion, struck out in his only at-bat. The No. 19 Twins prospect has hit seven home runs, which is tied with teammate Aaron Sabato for first place in the league.

White Sox
Colson Montgomery
(CWS No. 1) set the tone with a 409-foot home run in the fourth inning. The top-ranked prospect in the Fall League (MLB No. 17) finished 2-for-2 and earned the Fall Stars Game MVP. Jordan Leasure provided an inning of relief in the eighth inning and struck out Ivan Melendez and Sterlin Thompson. Jake Eder (CWS No. 5) recorded the win for the AL and struck out two.

AMERICAN LEAGUE WEST

Angels
Davis Daniel was selected to represent the Angels in the Fall Stars Game, but the right-hander did not make an appearance.

Astros
A.J. Blubaugh pitched for the final out of the game for the AL, a routine groundout to short.

Athletics
Max Muncy (OAK No. 7) took over as designated hitter in the eighth inning, lining out in foul territory. Righty Royber Salinas (OAK No. 24) was also selected to represent the A's, but he did not take the mound.

Mariners
Ryan Bliss found himself leading off in the starting lineup, and he sure made the most of the opportunity. In four innings, Seattle's No. 14 prospect went 1-for-2 with a line drive single and a run scored in the third inning. Righty Troy Taylor pitched faced three batters in the ninth inning where he recorded two outs, including a strikeout. Tyler Locklear (SEA No. 11) started for the AL batting cleanup in the DH position, where he went 0-for-3.

Rangers
Liam Hicks walked in each of his two plate appearances in the Fall Stars Game. His patience in the batter's box paid off as the backstop scored a run in the fourth inning. Anthony Hoopii-Tuionetoa entered in the third, where he struck out a pair in a perfect inning. Emiliano Teodo (TEX No. 22) took the mound in the sixth inning where he gave up a run on a wild pitch.

NATIONAL LEAGUE EAST

Braves
Keshawn Ogans took over the DH position in the sixth inning, where he reached base via hit by pitch and eventually scored on a wild pitch. His single in the eighth was quickly erased by a caught stealing.

Marlins
Nasim Nu?ez (MIA No. 17) took over in the sixth inning and batted 1-for-2 with a single and a walk. The shortstop also led a double play in the ninth to finish out the game. Jacob Berry (MIA No. 4) started in the seven-hole for the NL and struck out twice. Ike Buxton came out of the bullpen to close, picking up a pair of outs on just two batters faced.

Mets
JT Schwartz showed off his defensive prowess as the first baseman went full extension to catch a ball in foul territory. Kevin Parada (NYM No. 5) caught for the NL in the final three innings of the matchup. The Mets' No. 5 prospect went 0-for-1 with a walk.

Phillies
Gabriel Rincones Jr. (PHI No. 9) didn't make it safely on base but did bat in a run on an infield chopper to first. Andrew Baker recorded two outs, spanning the eighth and ninth innings. He struck out one while allowing just one hit. Oliver Dunn struck out in each of his two at-bats. Christian McGowan (PHI No. 13) was selected to represent Philadelphia in the Fall Stars Game but did not make an appearance.

Nationals
DJ Herz (WSH No. 16) faced five batters in the second inning, allowing just one hit in his scoreless frame.

NATIONAL LEAGUE CENTRAL

Brewers
Both Eric Brown Jr. (MIL No. 10) and Wes Clarke landed in the Fall Stars Game starting lineup, and each got two at-bats in the contest. Brown shined on both sides of the diamond, crushing a solo homer in the top of the fifth that landed on the berm in left field. He flashed his leather at shortstop in the bottom of the same inning with a spinning throw from behind second base. Clarke didn't have the same success at the plate, going 0-for-2 with a strikeout.

Cardinals
As one of the few prospects with 80-grade speed, stealing bags is Victor Scott II's specialty and he made it known. Leading off the game for the NL, the No. 4 Cardinals prospect went the other way for a double to left field and then swiped third base. In his next two at-bats, Scott walked twice and stole another two bases, finishing 1-for-1 with three steals. Tekoah Roby (STL No. 5) started on the mound for the NL and posted a dominant frame, fanning two and allowing no baserunners. Cooper Hjerpe (STL No. 7) entered in the eighth and struck out one in 2/3 of an inning of work.

Cubs
Both Kevin Alc¨˘ntara (CHC No. 4) and James Triantos (CHC No. 9) entered the game as substitutions in the sixth inning. While they've each had strong Fall League campaigns -- Triantos leads the league witha 1.205 OPS -- neither tallied a knock in two at-bats.

Pirates
Jase Bowen was the lone Pittsburgh representative in the Fall Stars Game. The Pirates' No. 27 prospect ¨C who swatted 18 jacks in last night's Home Run Derby -- went 1-for-2 with a double in the seventh.

Reds
Michael Trautwein started behind the dish for the NL, but it was his offense that was on display. The backstop doubled in the third and then swiped third base, eventually scoring the first run of the contest. Trautwein fanned in his second at-bat, finishing 1-for-2. Right-hander Andrew Moore spun a 1-2-3 eighth inning, striking out two in the process.

NATIONAL LEAGUE WEST

D-backs
Ivan Melendez was the sole selection from Arizona to the Fall Stars team. The No. 8 D-backs prospect pinch-hit in the sixth inning and stayed in for the rest of the contest at third base. In two trips to the plate, Melendez was hit by pitch and struck out.

Dodgers
Ronan Kopp (LAD No. 16) and Kendall Williams pitched back-to-back innings of relief for the NL. The lefty Kopp allowed three runs on two hits, both long balls, in the fourth but settled in and fanned two of the final three batters he faced. Williams, a righty, pitched in the sixth and surrendered a solo homer to Kyle Manzardo to lead off the inning. After the jack, he retired the next three batters in order, whiffing Carson Williams for the final out of the frame.

Giants
Carter Howell, who has posted a .962 OPS in the fall, was the only Giant voted to the Fall Stars Game but did not participate.

Padres
Perhaps the strongest performer of the fall so far, Jakob Marsee earned himself a start in left field for the Fall Stars Game. The No. 12 Padres prospect went 1-for-2 with a double off the left-field wall in the second inning. However, he was thrown out trying to stretch the knock into a triple. Braden Nett pitched in the third inning and allowed two runs on two hits while striking out one.

Rockies
Benny Montgomery (COL No. 8) started at DH for the NL, going 0-for-2. Sterlin Thompson (COL No. 6) pinch-hit in the sixth and walked, he then struck out in his second at-bat of the night. Juan Mejia had the strongest game of the three, striking out two in a hitless frame in the seventh inning.
