HOUSTON -- Carlos Correa entered free agency for the first time last season and could become a free agent again this coming offseason, but he said on Tuesday he wants to remain with the Twins. The shortstop went 1-for-4 in the 4-2 loss to the Astros on Tuesday with a single in the seventh to break up Houston's no-no bid started by Justin Verlander.
Before the game, Correa spoke to the media about his return to Houston. During the press conference, the All-Star shortstop was asked about the possibility of rejoining his former team.
ˇ°I don't know,ˇ± Correa said. ˇ°I'm with the Twins right now, and the goal is to build something special with the organization, and hopefully, be here long term with the Twins. Right now, I see myself playing with the Twins for a long time.ˇ±
