Here are the Giants' 2025 Top 30 prospects

The Giants front office has a new look after replacing president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi with franchise icon Buster Posey last September and promoting vice president of pro scouting Zack Minasian to GM in November. Posey, who led San Francisco to World Series championships in 2010, 2012 and 2014, will try to do the same in a different role after the club has enjoyed just one winning season and one playoff berth in the previous eight years.
Our Giants Top 30 Prospects list has a fresh look as well. Either Kyle Harrison or Marco Luciano had ranked No. 1 in each of the past four years, but they both graduated to the big leagues in 2024. So did fellow Top 100 prospect Hayden Birdsong, as well as Tyler Fitzgerald, Grant McCray, Erik Miller, Landen Roupp and Keaton Winn.
San Francisco has signed eight of its nine best prospects in the last two years. Though the franchise has gotten little out of its first-round picks since a storied run with Tim Lincecum, Madison Bumgarner, Posey and Zack Wheeler from 2006-09, first baseman Bryce Eldridge (2023) is one of the top sluggers in the Minors and outfielder James Tibbs III (2024) was one of the best college hitters in last year¡¯s Draft.
Outfielder Dakota Jordan and left-hander Joe Whitman are two more promising recent picks, while outfielder Bo Davidson looks like a steal as a non-drafted free agent. The Giants¡¯ international department has been productive, landing shortstops Josuar Gonzalez and Jhonny Level and outfielder Rayner Arias.
Here's a look at the Giants¡¯ top prospects:
- Bryce Eldridge, 1B (MLB No. 24)
- Carson Whisenhunt, LHP
- Josuar Gonzalez, SS
- James Tibbs III, OF
- Jhonny Level, SS
