'Crown jewel of Cleveland': Guardians showcase Progressive Field renovations
CLEVELAND -- Thirty-one years after it first opened its doors at the corner of Carnegie Avenue and Ontario Street, Progressive Field is new again.
The Guardians continued renovations on their home ballpark over the offseason, after unveiling the first wave of upgrades last March. When fans arrive for Tuesday¡¯s home opener against the White Sox, and throughout the 2025 season, they will be able to enjoy additional improvements.
¡°We¡¯re really fortunate,¡± said Christy Corfias, the Guardians¡¯ vice president of business strategy and analytics. ¡°We've got really good public partners at the city, county and state who helped us invest in the ballpark. This is a significant investment, and we're making investments all the time to keep it up to date.
¡°I think we've got a bright future ahead of us as the crown jewel of Cleveland.¡±
Here¡¯s a look at what¡¯s new at Progressive Field in 2025.
Terrace Hall and Keybank North Coast Social
Among the biggest enhancements following this offseason¡¯s renovations is the upgraded Terrace District down the left-field line, where The Terrace Club was previously located. After The Terrace Garden rooftop patio opened ahead of last season, The Terrace Hall and Keybank North Coast Social are new additions for 2025.
The Guardians were reciprocative to fan feedback throughout the renovation-planning process. They found fans desired additional spaces outside the confines of their seats to socialize while remaining plugged into the action on the field.
¡°I think all of our spaces try to reflect that balance,¡± Corfias said.
The Terrace Hall is a ¡°reimagined¡± beer hall open to all fans with a sleek retro vibe that includes an exposed steel and wood baffle bar ceiling. The area includes indoor and outdoor spaces to watch games and a wide selection of local craft beers.
The Keybank North Coast Social (which is located downstairs from The Terrace Hall) offers exclusive access to an upscale indoor lounge, as well as open-air box seating featuring heated seats. Single- and multi-game tickets are available to purchase.
Noteworthy places in Cleveland that served as inspiration for the new spaces¡¯ designs include the West Side Market and the Guardians of Traffic.
¡°We had a huge design team and a lot of partners externally and internally helping get it done,¡± Corfias said. ¡°We ultimately set on a golden era of Cleveland as our inspiration.¡±
New food options
As part of the new menu at Progressive Field in 2025, the Terrance Garden also will include four unique food options.
? Mozzarella sandwich: ¡°Big Mozz¡¯ mozzarella sticks between two pieces of garlic toast, with marinara, pesto mayonnaise, balsamic dressing and arugula.
? Fried pickles: Beer-battered and fried dill pickle spears served with creamy and smoky barbecue aioli
? Turkey leg drumstick: A smoked turkey leg drumstick glazed with barbecue sauce and served with American white barbecue sauce
? Fried bologna sandwich: Griddle-toasted bologna on a brioche bun topped with American cheese, potato chips and a tangy sauce.
New additions found elsewhere in the ballpark include:
? Guardian Burger (available at the Burger Stand in section 175): The collaboration with Gunselman¡¯s Tavern includes a beef patty on a brioche bun topped with salami, capicola, pepperoni, provolone cheese, lettuce, pickled onion, hot banana peppers and herb vinaigrette.

Team store
The Guardians¡¯ team store has returned to its previous location off Ontario street, after being closed for renovations last season, and now features a reconfigured open floor plan. The store will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, ahead of the Guardians¡¯ home opener. On gamedays, it will be open from 10 a.m. until 30 minutes postgame, and on non-gamedays, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What¡¯s next
? The Guardians are continuing to replace their former green seating, a process that is expected to be complete by the beginning of next season. Over the offseason, they installed additional blue seating in the lower and upper bowls, and red seating in the upper deck in the design of the team¡¯s diamond ¡°C¡± logo.
? Construction on The Carnegie Club is ongoing, and it is expected to be complete in early May.
