After an illustrious career that included two World Series championships with the Giants, four-time All-Star Hunter Pence has announced his retirement.
"Nothing can really prepare you for this part of your career when you have to say: I am retiring from baseball," Pence tweeted.
"Forever thankful and Gr8ful."
After last season's surprising renaissance at age 36 for the Rangers, Pence hit just .096 with two home runs in 17 games for the Giants in 2020. Pence wraps up his 14-year career with a .279 career average and 244 home runs.
