Caglianone launches 2nd HR of season -- and it's even farther than the first!

Jac Caglianone announced his presence at Double-A on Saturday, demolishing a towering home run that traveled an estimated 464 feet and cleared everything in sight.
But like any good magician, the 6-foot-5 slugger¡¯s first feat was just an appetizer. On Tuesday, in Northwest Arkansas¡¯ home opener, he reached into his bag of tricks for his next triumph -- a 468-foot moonshot that soared into the night sky at Arvest Ballpark.
Caglianone¡¯s top tool is his prodigious power. Graded as a 70, MLB's No. 21 prospect outpaces all but four players (Coby Mayo, Bryce Eldridge, Charlie Condon and Xavier Isaac) on MLB Pipeline¡¯s Top 100 list in the category, and he¡¯s already shown why early in the Minor League season.
The long ball came in Caglianone¡¯s second at-bat of the Naturals' 7-2 victory over Frisco. Down 0-2 after fouling off the second offering from left-hander Kohl Drake (TEX No. 13), the Florida native got every stitch of the next pitch and launched it over the berm in right-center field for a three-run homer.
The Royals¡¯ top prospect went 1-for-3 with two walks, and his second jack of the season raised his OPS to 1.268 through four games.
Extreme feats of strength are nothing new for Caglianone. In Spring Training, he slashed .500/.609/1.167 with three roundtrippers -- the two in parks with Statcast both traveled over 435 feet and had exit velocities above 114 mph.
Caglianone swatted 75 home runs as a two-way player at the University of Florida, and if his first four games of 2025 are any indication, he¡¯ll be challenging that total as a professional.
