Hitting back-to-back homers is rare enough. But the same two players doing it TWICE in the same game? That¡¯s truly special.
On Monday night against the Orioles, Red Sox sluggers Rob Refsnyder and Tyler O'Neill became the latest duo to pull off one of baseball¡¯s oddities, going back to back in the third inning at Fenway Park and AGAIN in the eighth in Boston¡¯s 12-3 victory.
Refsnyder and O¡¯Neill are the second pair of Red Sox hitters to hit back-to-back dingers multiple times in the same contest and the 24th such pair of MLB batters in the Expansion Era (since 1961), according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
