MINNEAPOLIS -- Everything went right for the Twins in Friday night¡¯s 11-4 victory over the Angels.
Well, almost everything.
Rookie designated hitter Luke Keaschall suffered a nondisplaced fracture of his right forearm in the first inning and will spend the immediate future on the injured list.
Keaschall was hit by an 86.8 mph sinker from Kyle Hendricks in his first at-bat of the game. He stayed in to run the bases but was replaced by Mickey Gasper in the third inning.
¡°I don¡¯t think he knew it right away because he went out there and we got the thumbs up that he was OK. I think he willed himself to just stay out there,¡± Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said. ¡°He went in and tried to do some stuff in the cage in between innings, and we learned pretty quickly that he wasn¡¯t going to be able to [continue].¡±

Meanwhile, according to sources, the Twins are set to acquire infielder Kody Clemens, who was designated for assignment by the Phillies earlier this week.
Catcher Jair Camargo is the only healthy hitter on the Twins' 40-man roster who is not currently on the 26-man roster.
Keaschall began the year in Triple-A St. Paul, but the Twins selected the contract of their No. 3 prospect and the No. 57 overall prospect last Friday when they started a series in Atlanta. By the time they came back to Minnesota, Keaschall was hitting in the three-hole and had established himself as one of the team¡¯s top hitters.
¡°I was a little angry but I¡¯ve got to try and think of the big picture,¡± Keaschall said of his injury. ¡°Think about getting healthy as fast as possible.¡±
No timeline was given for his return, but Baldelli expressed confidence that the setback would be temporary because of Keaschall¡¯s work ethic.
¡°His attitude¡¯s great. He really likes to work,¡± Baldelli said. ¡°And when you have young players with really good ability that really like to work -- I mean really like to work ¡ it has the makings of a guy that can play here for a long time.¡±

Buxton -- who hit a solo homer off Hendricks in the third inning -- greeted reliever Carl Edwards Jr. with a sacrifice fly to left that drove in a run. Mickey Gasper singled home another run before Larnach added a three-run homer with a drive over the 23-foot-high fence in right-center.
Logan O¡¯Hoppe and Mike Trout hit solo homers for the Angels.
