Here's the Yankees' Spring Breakout roster
TAMPA, Fla. -- Spencer Jones has heard the comparisons for more than a calendar year, beginning when the Yankees selected him 25th overall in the 2022 MLB Draft: ¡°A left-handed Aaron Judge.¡± As a power-hitting outfielder from California, that shorthand sketch was probably inevitable.
But while Jones has fully embraced the opportunity to share a big league clubhouse with Judge and other established stars this spring, he is very much forging a unique path toward the Majors. That journey is set to continue on March 16, when Jones will participate in one of the inaugural Spring Breakout contests.
¡°It¡¯s a cool comparison, but ultimately I want to become my own player and do the things that I know I do well,¡± Jones said. ¡°Obviously, Aaron is one of the best in the game, and it¡¯s humbling to be compared in that regard, but I¡¯m just going to try to learn from him as much as possible and then do what I do best, which is play.¡±

The Yankees¡¯ seven-inning Spring Breakout game is scheduled for March 16 at George M. Steinbrenner Field, when a squad of the Bombers¡¯ top talent will host a team comprised of the best and brightest players with rookie eligibility from the Blue Jays.
That contest will be part of a doubleheader at "The Boss," following a 1:05 p.m. ET Grapefruit League game between New York and Toronto.
The Yankees are set to have three of MLB Pipeline¡¯s Top 100 prospects in uniform for the Spring Breakout game: Jones (No. 84), shortstop Roderick Arias (No. 86) and right-handed pitcher Chase Hampton (No. 92).

¡°I think it¡¯s going to be really good,¡± Hampton said. ¡°It¡¯s beneficial for the game. It showcases everybody¡¯s top prospects and makes everybody want to watch them.¡±
