Cleveland Guardians Introduce ¡®Going to Bat for Small Business Presented by PNC¡¯
CLEVELAND ¨C The Cleveland Guardians, in collaboration with PNC Bank, announced a new local program to support area small businesses for the 2025 season. The ¡®Going to Bat for Small Business presented by PNC¡¯ initiative highlights Greater Cleveland-area businesses that have made a positive impact within the community.
The program, which is a first for the Guardians franchise, intends to give small businesses a boost by leveraging the team¡¯s powerful platform to promote the selected companies. Going to Bat for Small Business presented by PNC will spotlight six winning businesses that will receive a specialized Guardians marketing package, including in-park signage, radio, social media and website recognition.
¡°Small businesses are the cornerstone of our communities and play a critical role in fueling economic growth, job creation and innovation, said Pat Pastore, PNC regional president for Cleveland. ¡°Every day across our region, PNC small business bankers and advisors are hard at work providing financial solutions that help small business owners operate, expand and scale their companies. We are excited to team up with the Guardians on this program to help local small businesses grow and strengthen their brands.¡±
The winning businesses will also be part of a pre-game ceremony at Progressive Field and will receive a mascot appearance at their company locations.

Small business nominations can be submitted, here. Application guidelines and nomination forms can be accessed on the website. Only businesses in Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Huron, Lake and Lorain counties will be considered.
Nominations will be accepted through March 3. A committee of local business and community leaders will serve as judges and will select winners based on the positive influence each business has had on its respective community and the expected impact that the marketing support will have on each organization. Winners will be announced in early April.
