Mariners announce multi-year extension with Seattle Sports as radio broadcast home
SEATTLE, Wash. -- Seattle Mariners President of Business Operations Kevin Martinez announced today that the Mariners and Bonneville Seattle Media Group have agreed upon a multi-year extension to keep Seattle Sports as the Flagship Radio Station for Mariners baseball.
¡°We are pleased to extend our agreement with Bonneville to keep Seattle Sports as the Mariners broadcast home,¡± Martinez said. ¡°Bonneville has been a valued partner of the Mariners for over three decades, broadcasting our games across the region and sharing in our continued effort to bring Mariners baseball to our fans with compelling content across traditional and emerging platforms.¡±
The 2025 season will be the 35th year that 710 KIRO-AM (Seattle Sports) has been the Mariners radio home. The Mariners have been broadcasting on Seattle Sports since the station¡¯s transition to an all-sports format in 2009, and 710 KIRO-AM was the team¡¯s home from 1985-2002.
"We're thrilled to continue our long-standing relationship with the Seattle Mariners," said Cathy Cangiano, Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Bonneville Seattle. "At Bonneville, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, innovative, and entertaining local content. Renewing our partnership with the Mariners is a natural fit.¡±
Fans within the Mariners broadcast region¡ªWashington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Alaska, and B.C.¡ªcan access every game via the Seattle Sports App or SeattleSports.com, keeping them engaged with the action throughout the season.
"We're happy to offer Mariners audio content to our fans, both on-air and through the Seattle Sports app,¡± said Kyle Brown, Seattle Sports Program Director. ¡°Our aim is to make it simple and convenient for you to listen to Mariners programming no matter where you are in the Pacific Northwest."
In addition to broadcasting all 162 games during the regular season and spring training game broadcasts, the Mariners year-round presence on Seattle Sports includes programming featuring weekly interviews with Mariners players, coaches, broadcasters and team executives, as well as shows like The Dugout and Extra Innings.
