Reds welcome United Way to ¡°Reds Country Cares¡±
United Way of Greater Cincinnati has joined the ¡°Reds Country Cares¡± program which recognizes local organizations that are making positive changes in our community.
Now in its third year, Reds Country Cares selects one societal issue per month of the regular season that needs attention in our region and recognizes the work being done by organizations serving in that area.
¡°The Reds are committed to using our platform to elevate awareness and support for organizations who are serving the needs of our community,¡± said Karen Forgus, Reds Chief Communications and Community Officer. ¡°We are thrilled to add the support of United Way of Greater Cincinnati to this cornerstone program.¡±
The new partnership features United Way of Greater Cincinnati making $1,000 grants to organizations highlighted by the Reds through the Reds Country Cares initiative during the 2024 season, in addition to the Reds providing on-field pregame ceremonies at Great American Ball Park, Reds on Radio public service announcements and other promotional support.
¡°We are excited to lend our support to local organizations through Reds Country Cares,¡± said Moira Weir, President and CEO of United Way of Greater Cincinnati. ¡°The Cincinnati Reds and United Way have rich histories in the region, and we share a vision for its future ¡ª a vision fueled by dedicated community organizations.
