Columbus station WBNS 97.1 FM ¡®The Fan¡¯ joins the Reds Radio Network as the newest affiliate
The Cincinnati Reds announce that WBNS 97.1 FM ¡°The Fan,¡± the leading radio station in Columbus, Ohio, is now the newest affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds Radio Network.
Starting with the 2025 MLB season, Columbus-area fans can tune in to 97.1 FM to catch live game broadcasts, pre-and post-game analysis, and exclusive Reds content all season long. Any games that conflict with other station programming will air on ESPN Columbus (1460 AM, 97.1 FM HD2).
The partnership further expands the reach of the Reds Radio Network, already one of the largest in Major League Baseball, and marks an exciting opportunity for fans in central Ohio to connect with one of baseball¡¯s most historic franchises.

The first broadcast will feature the Reds¡¯ Cactus League spring training opener against the Cleveland Guardians on Saturday, February 22. The Reds¡¯ regular-season opener is set for Thursday, March 27, against the San Francisco Giants.
The Reds Radio Network spans 64 markets across seven states and features broadcasters Tommy Thrall and Jeff Brantley. Tommy is in his sixth season broadcasting for the Reds, his fifth as the full-time play-by-play announcer. Jeff is in his 18th season as a member of the Reds radio and TV broadcast teams.
