SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The MLB Summer Internship Program is designed to provide exceptional students interested in a career in sports with a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the diverse business operations of Major League Baseball. Those selected will gain invaluable work experience through challenging project assignments, information sessions hosted by MLB senior management and various additional events organized by the Human Resources department.
The summer program begins the Wednesday after Memorial Day weekend and requires a minimum commitment of nine weeks. Opportunities are based out of the NYC office and may be available in a variety of departments including but not limited to: Labor Relations, Special Events, Marketing, Social Media, Software Engineering, Sponsorship, Legal, Community Affairs, Information Technology, Human Resources, Analytics, Finance and Public Relations.
MLB DIVERSITY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
The MLB Diversity Fellowship Program was created to expand the talent pool of future Baseball leaders. The program provides the opportunity for early career professionals to experience front office positions that have been traditionally influential in baseball operations decisions. This exciting opportunity will place candidates in entry-level roles in one of the participating Major League Clubs and MLB¡¯s League office for period of 18 to 24 months.
DIVERSITY IN TICKET SALES TRAINING PROGRAM
The MLB on Deck Diversity in Sales program is designed to provide participants a jump-start in their sales careers through a series of training sessions and consideration for entry-level sales opportunities across Major League Baseball (MLB) and Minor League Baseball (MiLB) entities. With a focus on attracting well-qualified applicants, MLB aims to place individuals who successfully complete this program directly into hiring pipelines with clubs.
Participants will take part in an eight-week-long program learning the basic tools, knowledge and understanding of the ticket sales world, giving them a distinct advantage in the interview process for entry-level sales positions. Participants will attend weekly virtual training sessions led by members of the MLB Ticketing Department in addition to sales executives from across MLB. By the conclusion of the program, participants will be placed in the pipeline for all MLB and MiLB Clubs to access and engage with when looking to fill new entry-level sales positions.
To date, more than 150 students have completed the MLB On Deck Program since its inception in Summer 2021. Graduates of the program have secured positions with 22 MLB clubs, as well as other teams and companies in different sectors of the sports industry.

KATY FEENEY LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM
The Katy Feeney Leadership Symposium focuses on career advancement for executives in baseball. Over the last several years, 106 people have participated in the Katy Feeney Leadership Program, coming from various facets of the business including Baseball Operations, Marketing, Community Relations, Human Resources, Legal and Communications.
The event, administered by the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Education Program, is held in honor of Katy Feeney, who was an influential baseball executive throughout her 40-year career.
TAKE THE FIELD
MLB hosts the Take the Field program, a two-day event at the annual Winter Meetings specifically designed for women interested in front office and on-field careers within professional baseball. Take the Field provides opportunities for education and engagement with Club and League personnel through panels, breakout sessions and professional development.
The event offers an opportunity to learn from current baseball employees, develop in their areas of interest and network with their peers and other baseball professionals. Sessions focus on analytics, baseball operations, coaching, player development, replay, scouting and umpiring, as well as leadership, communication and technology in baseball.
DIVERSITY PIPELINE PROGRAM
The Diversity Pipeline Program was created by Major League Baseball Commissioner Robert D. Manfred, Jr., in January 2016. The goal of the program is to identify and develop a broad spectrum of well-qualified candidates in Baseball Operations departments at all 30 Clubs and the MLB Office of the Commissioner. Applicants will be referred to be considered for interviews for opportunities within Player Development (including athletic training and strength and conditioning), Player Evaluation/Scouting, Managing & Coaching, Baseball Analytics, Research & Development, Baseball Front Office roles and Umpiring.
