Adam Wainwright surprised former teammate Tommy Pham with a visit to the Dominican Winter League
Rays outfielder
Moving on from St. Louis in July was a change of pace for Pham, who had been with the organization since they drafted him out of high school back in 2006. He made close connections with several Cardinals, and one of them decided to surprise him in the Dominican Republic:
Had a surprise visitor down here in the ?? #cardinalnation Waino!!! Glad I had the opportunity to play with him because I truly learned a lot on and off the field from him, he¡¯s truly if not the best guy in baseball! #leones? pic.twitter.com/DuY6t2L8Sa

Wainwright was already visiting the country on behalf of his charity, Big League Impact, so it was a breeze to stop by to see Pham. The two were teammates from 2014-18 and played key roles on the Cardinals' last postseason team, the 100-win National League Central champions of 2015.
Once a Cardinal buddy, always a Cardinal buddy.
