Adeiny Hechavarria has no idea why Martin Prado called him off of this popup

It's common practice that, when two players both have a read on a fly ball, the one with the highest positional number -- 1 for pitcher, 2 for catcher, etc. -- has the right of way. So, since shortstop has the highest number on the infield, they should always be able to call off their teammates ... at least, uh, in theory.
But as Marlins shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria discovered during Friday's game against the Nats, sometimes things don't always work out that way. You see, Martin Prado, Miami's third baseman, really wanted to snag a Ryan Zimmerman popup to the left side of the infield. And when someone's that dedicated, there's not much you can do but scratch your head:
