Adrian Gonzalez wore an amazing ugly Christmas sweater -- but it didn't win a contest, somehow

It's the most wonderful time of the year, someone once said.
It's the holiday season, and with Christmas rapidly approaching (seriously, if you haven't purchased your quirky MLB-related gifts yet you're running out of time) everyone's in the spirit. 
That includes Dodgers first baseman/butter-and-egg manAdrián González, who shared a photo on Thursday night of himself sporting a wondrously garish ugly Christmas sweater. However, he claims this outfit did not win him a costume contest:

How is that even possible? That's a pretty impeccable entry, complete with glitter, a snowman and seemingly functional Christmas lights. Whoever won that contest must really have gone above and beyond ...
