Read Anthony Rizzo's touching Father's Day tribute to his totally real dad, David Ross
Father's Day is a time to stop and salute that special figure in your life -- mentor, friend, guardian, teller of terrible jokes. So, with Father's Day 2016 just a day away, Anthony Rizzo took the time to send a heartfelt message to the man who is absolutely, unequivocally, 100 percent his father: catcher David Ross, otherwise known in the Cubs' clubhouse as "Grandpa Rossy."
Great team win but highlight of my night was early Father's Day card from my eldest son! @ARizzo44 #PapaBear ? pic.twitter.com/7K9BH9gduA

He might struggle with modern technology, require a cart to get around practice and take a little longer to bounce back after a long day, but Rizzo wanted Ross to know just how much of an impact he's had on the life of his son, who is definitely Anthony Rizzo. "Thank you for everything you have done for me," he signed the card. "Love, your son Anthony."
But Ross provides a lot more than sage advice and veteran leadership -- his solo homer in the sixth inning on Saturday proved to be the difference in Chicago's 4-3 win.
