Ender Inciarte didn't deke everybody on his game-ending catch, even though it really looked like he did
When you do something a bunch of times, folks start to expect it. Braves outfielder Ender Inciarte has established himself around MLB as an unparalelled master of the deke -- faking out baserunners on the regular.
So when he reeled in the final out of Atlanta's 5-4 win over the Reds (in Ronald Acuna's Major League debut) on Wednesday night on a deep fly ball to center, it wasn't immediately clear if it was a deke:

As the Braves' announcers asked on the broadcast (as seen atop this post), did Inciarte just deke everybody again, and in especially dramatic fashion? Well ... not quite.
In case you are wondering if it was on purpose.. it wasn¡¯t, it was just funny to see Nick¡¯s reaction after i missed time the wall. Great win Braves family #ChopOn

Still, it's hard to blame anybody for thinking he had pulled off another one.
He's got a reputation, after all.
