Bryce Harper hurdled Willians Astudillo, but was still tagged out at home
There may not be a more exciting moment in baseball than a play at the plate. The catcher has the ball and the only way for the runner to score is to out-maneuver him with a nifty slide. It's a difficult task, to say the least, but every so often, someone pulls it off in spectacular fashion.
Often, however, it ends with an out. During the sixth inning of Saturday's game against the Twins, Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper experienced the disappointment that comes from being thrown out at the plate despite one's best efforts. After a fly out to center field, Harper raced home, hurdled catcher Willians Astudillo and touched home plate. There was only one issue: Astudillo tagged him while he was airborne.

Bryce's leaping attempt at home may have ended unceremoniously in an out, but at least he'll have something to talk about with teammates Andrew McCutchen and J.T. Realmuto in the dugout.
