One perfect score later, David Ross found himself on the precipice of 'Dancing with the Stars' glory

As improbable as it may have seemed at some points, Ross and partner Lindsay Arnold (a.k.a. #TeamLadyAndTheGramp) found themselves going head-to-head against the duos made up of Rashad Jennings/Emma Slater and Normani Kordei/Val Chmerkovskiy for the ultimate DWTS throne.

Before the show started, all three of the remaining contestants posed for a photo together since, after all, they're friends now as well as competition:

When Monday night's episode began, Ross and Arnold showed they came to play, starting with a fancy waltz set to OneRepublic's "Let's Hurt Tonight" that earned the pair a score of 33 out of 40:
But then they really turned up the heat, so to speak. #TeamLadyAndTheGramps were so ready for the occasion, they received a perfect score for their next routine, a freestyle that was very heavy on the baseball imagery ...
