Eric Thames wants Brewers fans to join him in cheering on the Bucks Wednesday night
On Wednesday afternoon, the Brewers completed a three-game sweep of the Nationals to bring them into a tie with the Cubs for first place in the NL Central. Obviously, spirits were running high, especially for Eric Thames, who went 2-for-3 with a double and two walks in the 7-3 win.
But that game is in the past and Thames and the Brewers had more pressing concerns as the Bucks hosted the Celtics later in the evening with a chance to clinch a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals. As we learned in the first baseman's postgame interview, he and his teammates were going to the game and they hoped to see their fans there right along with them.

Thames was true to his word as he and a whole crew of Brewers showed up for the game. Christian Yelich was even rocking a Giannis Antetokounmpo jersey.

One would think that having that kind of energy in the building could only help the Bucks' chances. They say that success breeds success so maybe a three-game sweep from the Brewers will breed a trip to the Conference Finals for the Bucks.
