When you're NBA Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon, baseballs might as well be the size of blueberries
Basketball stars aren't like the rest of us. When you watch them fly up and down the court on TV, it doesn't look that strange at first. Most of them are pretty darn tall and move in a similar manner, so by comparison, it just seems like it could be a standard pickup game at the local gym.
When the giants walk among us, though? Well ...
... yeah, it can get silly.
That's Astros owner Jim Crane sandwiched in between Clyde Drexler and Hakeem Olajuwon, who both participated in the ceremonial first pitch for World Series Game 6 on Tuesday. Crane is not even a short guy, but the two Houston Rockets legends simply tower over him.
The ridiculous photos don't stop there. Look at Olajuwon palming a baseball like Joel Embiid:

That's just a joke. I can barely hold a clementine in my hand like that, and Olajuwon is doing it to a dang baseball.
Perhaps the comparatively small size of the baseball made it harder for Olajuwon to get a good grip on his first pitch. Although he towered on the mound like a right-handed Randy Johnson, his delivery hooked straight into the dirt.
I get it. It's tough to throw a pitch with a golf ball.
