And on Saturday, just before camp gets underway in full, they got an unexpected surprise from an old friend -- the man who played an integral role in the team's run to the World Series in 2016, then etched himself into Cleveland's heart forever with a single swing.
Yes, that's right, Rajai Davis is back.

Davis spent the 2017 season with the Red Sox and A's, swiping 29 bases in 117 games. But now he's returning to the Indians, who announced that they signed the outfielder to a Minor League deal with a non-roster invite to Spring Training. That can only mean one thing: It's time to relive the delirium of his game-tying homer in Game 7 of the 2016 Fall Classic.
