Joe Mauer and wife have twins, are twice as successful as Royal Family

The face of the Minnesota Twins has fathered children of the only sort you'd expect: twins. Joe's wife Maddie gave birth to girls Emily and Maren on Wednesday.

Joe was scratched from the lineup of Minnesota's game against the Angels in Anaheim and managed to get back to the Twin Cities in time to be with his wife as the new daughters arrived. And they arrived early -- the due date was August 31 -- so we'll go ahead and assume they just wanted to get out quick enough to upstage the new Prince of Cambridge.
