Mariners prospect Josh Stowers had an unexpected encounter with amateur wrestling on a road trip
The journey to the big leagues can take players to some strange places. In the case of Mariners No. 7 prospect and 2018 second-round pick Josh Stowers, that journey began with the Everett AquaSox of the Northwest League. In a recent road trip to Boise, Stowers realized his team was sharing a hotel with another sport: amateur wrestling.
This has to be the most minor league baseball thing I¡¯ve ever seen. An amateur wrestling match going on in our hotel outside of my room ???????¡á????¡á? pic.twitter.com/ihuDvmdUGt

You never know what you'll see on the road.
Here are some other highlights from baseballers on social media over the last week ...
The baseball world did its best to stay awake as the Dodgers and Phillies battled it out past midnight for 16 innings. Everyone was watching, including Indians Minor Leaguer Ernie Clement:

Packing is an art -- especially when the airline has a weight limit for your luggage. Cubs Minor League left-hander Justin Steele acknowledged this reality:
I need to buy a lottery ticket. Just checked two bags; one weighed 49 lbs and other weighed 45 lbs. didn¡¯t cheat either and weigh them before hand. I like to live life on the edge

Jesus Luzardo is showing a new pitch tonight that his teammates say he calls the ¡°turkey sub.¡±

It¡¯s basically a 62-64 mph eephus and he¡¯s gotten two pop outs on it tonight. Used it right after 95 mph fastballs both times pretty effectively.
No one calls home about a turkey sub but it gets the job done
