Clayton Kershaw beat A.J. Ellis in cornhole, threw football into pond on visit to Lambeau field
A.J. Ellis is the Woody to Clayton Kershaw's Buzz Lightyear. The Dodgers battery has been through a handful of incredible seasons, won dramatic postseason games and celebrated a no-hitter together, but all of that was for naught when friendship turned to rivalry for last month's week 14 Packers-Cowboys matchup at Lambeau Field.
Kershaw and a childhood friend flew up from Texas to meet Ellis and a bunch of his friends to tailgate in the shadow of the Frozen Tundra. They cooked brats, talked trash and raised the stakes of their friendship with a cornhole showdown that had Kershaw taking a victory lap around the yard:
Though, Ellis got the last laugh when his Packers cruised to a 28-7 victory and later clinched one of the NFC's playoff spots. He also got the first laugh when an errant throw sent Kershaw fishing in a nearby pond before the group even managed to make it to Green Bay.
You can check out footage from the whole outing, which originally aired on Sportsnet L.A., in the video up top.
