Finn, the Las Vegas 51s' bat dog, may very well be the most efficient bat dog around these days
We'd like to introduce you to Finn. Young Finn has a very important task that he carries out for the Las Vegas 51s, the Mets' Triple-A affiliate that plays its home games at Cashman Field.
Finn is exceptionally well behaved and impossibly good at what he does -- a testament to his trainer, Fred Hassen.
Just look at this precision:

You know how pitchers often play long toss on the field before a game, loosening up by throwing a baseball long distances? Finn does that in his own way, warming up those legs as he sprints around like a champ:
My pre-game ¡°Spread-em¡± on the Centerfield wall that we do before every game.

All other bat dogs out there, may Finn's determination to the craft be a motivation.
