On National Dimpled Chad Day, we celebrate the greatest dimpled Chads in MLB history
Look in the dictionary, and you'll find a "dimpled chad" defined as a chad (the fragment of paper created when someone punches a hole in said piece of paper) that's been dented but still remains attached. Look in your heart, though, and you'll see the smiles of some of the very finest middle relievers and utility infielders baseball has to offer. And so, on National Dimpled Chad Day, we choose to celebrate these heroes -- all named Chad, all turning their frowns upside down.
Chad Bradford
Ah, the submarine-tossing Moneyballer of your dreams ...
... with the smile to match:
Chad Billingsley
Former Dodger, current Phillie, eternal smiling slugger:
"But wait," you might be thinking, "this picture is suspiciously far away, and it doesn't even look like this Chad has dimples." Well then, take a look at our enhancement of the image:
Chad Qualls
"Laugh, and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone," -- Chad Qualls, probably. (There are dimples under that towel somewhere, we just know it.)
Chad Cordero
That's 2005 All-Star and expert celebrator Chad Cordero to you:
Chad Hutchinson
Whether playing football ...
... or our national pastime ...
... he honored the noble Chad name.
Chad Tracy
America's utility infielder played 10 years in the big leagues, including six in Arizona, most of which he spent smiling and/or showing off some fantastic red hair.
Chet Chadbourne
Chet played for Boston at the turn of the 20th century, so there's no photographic evidence of his smile. With a name like Chet Chadbourne, though, we feel comfortable assuming.
