Phil Hughes hosted a 'Bachelor' watch party and, yes, there was a taco bar
If an All-Star pitcher hosts a watch-party for the season finale of "The Bachelor" at his home at MLB Spring Training, but doesn't provide a taco bar, does it make a sound?
We may never know the true answer to that question because Phil Hughes is the host with the most -- and he pulled out all the stops when he had his Twins teammates over to watch/live-tweet the final rose ceremony on Monday night.
MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger caught up with the All-Star pitcher, who laid out his menu for the evening:
A build-your-own taco bar, complete with Korean BBQ braised short ribs, Pasilla chicken, kimchi, Mexican street corn, pickled onions and other such accoutrements.
Oh, and Hughes' fiancee (hooray, irony!) upped the ante by baking taco cookies, which is definitely going to be the new name for the Cut4 house band:

When Bollinger spoke with Hughes, fellow Twins Glen Perkins, Trevor Plouffe, Brian Dozier, Kevin Jepsen, Trevor May aka DJ Hey Beef, Tommy Milone, Ryan O'Rourke, Pat Dean and recent Korean acquisition Byung Ho Park had all RSVP-ed yes. Unfortunately, though, Hughes didn't provide details on whether the guys would be pulling for Lauren or JoJo.
For the uninitiated, the final episode of the 20th season finale of 'The Bachelor' starred 26-year-old Denver native and software salesman Ben Higgins. Higgins started with 28 potential partners, but whittled it down to just Lauren Bushnell and Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher.
Higgins broke up with Fletcher before proposing to Bushnell, who said yes. We'd offer more color commentary, but that's where Hughes and his Twins teammates came in:
