The Pirates had to wake prospect Taylor Hearn up to inform him that he'd been traded
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, reports began to surface that the Pirates had acquired Rangers closer
We initially thought that the pair were simply players to be named later, but as the night wore on, we got an even better explanation: Pittsburgh knew which players it was giving up, but it hadn't been able to wake them up and notify them yet.
The #Rangers know who they are getting from the #Pirates for Kela. The delay in naming the players is due to the difficulty of contacting them at this late hour, sources say.

In Hearn's defense, this all went down at 2 or 3 in the morning, so the fact that he wasn't up and/or on Twitter is really just a sign of a healthy lifestyle.
