As Gsellman told MLB.com's Anthony DiComo, he'd planned on taking a ride on the cart from the very beginning:
"I told him the first day, let me in," he said. "Take me in. He was like, 'All right.' The guy was pretty excited."
But while he appreciated the lift -- "It's comfortable, you know? Nice, soft cushions." -- there's still room for improvement:

Hey, whatever it looked like, it clearly worked: Gsellman threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings as the Mets went on to win, 5-1.
