Robinson Cano and Edwin Diaz's first welcome to the Mets was a fancy NYC dinner on Monday night

The Mets formally welcomed Robinson Canó and Edwin Díaz to the team on Tuesday morning at the traditional news conference. There were reporters and new uniforms and amazing quotes like this one from Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen: 

“Everything is possible and nothing is impossible,” says Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen, as he introduces Cano and Diaz.

But that wasn't their true introduction to the team. As everyone knows, the best way to welcome someone is to share a meal with them. So, on Monday night, the Mets got together with their new players and sat down for dinner. 
There's Diaz looking sharp with two earrings and an all-black outfit, while Cano looked a tad more cozy in a classic plaid shirt:

The only question that's left is who is the mysterious man in the middle of the mirror? Is it the ghost of the Mets' future?
